At the Appartment

Hey Family

 

I wanted to send you all a picture's we took this morning at the apartment. Its as close to a live feed and you will get to see me.

The other Missionaries are My companion Elder Burt, Elder Weathers, Elder Kelley, Elder Bingham and Elder Butters. All of them great missionaries. Some just a little exited about things.

 

The weeks been okay... we has a sister on for baptism that cant be baptised. It all came out in the baptismal interview. No buano. We are working with some other great individuals right now though so we sould be back on top of things here in the next day or so.

 

Zone Confrence was this last week. Elder Mahn from the 2nd quarm of the seventy came and spoke to us. He told us we had acopmlished alot to past goals but that it was really insugnificant and the lord still expected more.

 

I spoke in sacrament meeting this last sunday on daily prayed and scripture study. They must think that missionaries have good habits doing that or something. Well I indirectaly tryed to wake up people to the importance of it by using some of what we call the Fire and Brimstone scriptures that tied back to simply holding to the word of god. It talkes about it in Helaman 3 and in 2 Nephi. Dont wory the Bishup had spoken to me before hand and told me that's what he wanted. So read you scriptues every day and it will keep you from falling in the and endles gulf of misery and wo. That last sentence sums up my talk to.

 

Mom, can I request a few things if that's not a problem. I cant find good bike patches. nope. And we get flats all the time in this area. The one's i came out with i got in Provo from that Brigham...bike shop. Actualy they where given to me but they where from there and they worked great. I am glad you found my letter. All send another one then. :)

 

Amy, the church came out with a new pass along card and it made me thing of something you would have come up with.

 

Christy, tell Leif to push for prohabiton...

 

I love you all and wish you the best. Know this is the greatest work I could be doing right now. The gospel is true. I am seeing it bles my life and the life of others everyday. Read you scriptures. They testify of Christ.

Life is great... and a little stresfull at times but you dont know the good with out the bad right?

 

The District is doing well. I hope some good changes happen during transfers this week. Oh talking about this week a good friend of mine is entering the mission field today!

 

Hector Eide- that brother i wrote you all about loves to do missionary work. Loves it. He already read all of Preach My Gospel. Actualy he did it in a day. You all sould read it to. Will you all obtain a copy of Preach My Gospell and Read it? By doing so I know the lord will place people in our live that we can share this gospel with. you will be blessed and know what to say when the time is right.

 

How about my last comitment i left you all. Did you go on to Mormon.org and create a profile? Email me back if you did. If you didn't there is time for repentence still. You can do it and then email me. On Mondays we can go there and I can look up your profile if you do. Win win situation.

The New Year!

Hey its almost the new year! Yeah! 

 

Ann- Sorry I didn't get to talk to you on christmas. they only wanted us to make one call and I streched it by calling grandma and grandpa after Mom and Dad Called me. I love you.

 

Elder Robinson- I tried calling you back christmas day... Another strech to misson rules... and could not get through. sorry. I love you to though.  

 

For Mothers day all put it out there now I only get one call.

 

The week was hard one of our more solid investigatores moved on us. Just up and left with out a word. No buano... there is always someone else the lord has prepared though to share the gospel with we now just have to find them.

 

Mom, Transfers are this next week, but right now the other Elders in my apartment are Edler Kelley and Elder Weathers.

 

Dad, Did you get pictures with you on an elephant?

Moving again...

Hey Family

 

Yup i moved again. They Decided they didnt like my companyon and I having to bike so far.  So we are back at the Beasly apartment in Garden City(suberb of Savannah).
It will cut out a few miles every day. The adreess Dad is again 138 beasly rd.

 

Ann- Sorry about the short e-mails. But sometimes I cant change what happens out here, but I will make a point to try and write more for you all. Thanks again for the tree and christmas card.  

 

Hector Eide... Elder Lishman and I found him...I sent the Zone Leaders after him...Elder lunquist baptized him in 3 weeks. I can not tell you how powerfull of a conversion this man had. He is a contractor for the United States Militarty(Dad He works for CFPS as there reptisentitive that goes to the pentigon every six months). Elder Lishman and I first gave him a chapter of the Book of Mormon and he whent head over. At the bottom of the chapter was the new www.mormon.org. (You all have an assinment to go and create a profile there.)  He whent there and knew that it was all true. he knew there was an apostacy and prayed to as if the Book of Mormon was more of Gods word. When the Zone leaders started teaching him they took him to the bishups house and they became instant friends. Infact why he was bing taught he whent on his own to talk to the bishup to ask him questions about things. I could go on but i will have to write more about him latter. He is geting the priesthood next week and i am sure will be and elders quarm president within six months. I had the honor to do his baptismal interview where he told me his conversion story. His whole family is looking in to the church because of him.

 

Dad, things are going great. Thanks for taking care of things why I am away. I keep having to put small things in to my bike here to keep it going. But its all good. My District is strugling right now. I am not sure if its the time of year or other things. I feel like because are mission is working so hard some people are simply geting stressed and its causing some companyonship disunity. We will work througth it though.

 

Mom, I was infromred you sent a package but i dont have it yet because of the move. But so you know the mission has it and all get it before saturday. Thanks.

So the subject line is all of the cities my district covers. If you cant tell from some of my past letters I half of my district is spanish and I have been picking up some of it from them. Hasent goten past much more then the days of the week yet though.

 

Things are going well... ish. I dont know why I always get assined to leadership. I gess it keeps me on top of things. We have sevral people preparing themselves for baptisum right now. Its great. Mostly we are woringing with 20ish year olds right now. Its alot harder to teach your pears then it is a child or and adult in my opinion. So we go on.

 

I gave a talk last week. I didnt write you all about it because after church was when i got hit by a car. But i felt like it whent well. I Spoke on the Gratitude and Thanksgiving. Then tied it in to if you love me keep my comandments and then related it all back to missionary work. They only gave me notice as I was going out the door Friday moringing so it wasent nothing to special.

 

I work realy closely with the Zone Leaders as well. They are in my district. I dont know if i have a greater example to turn to then them with missionary work. They often are pulling more then there share and encoraging us to do more as well. We are coming along.

 

 

Dad, I keep wanting to send you all pictures but alas have no time. All get some next week. But how are you doing? Where you able to read that letter to the primary children? Thanks if you did.

 

Mom, I think Christmas would be fine. All get back to you on a number and time. Where are you going to be?
