Letter from Spencer, received 09/14/2010 ...

DATE 6, August 2010

Dear Mom & Dad,

Hey I love you!  Wanted you to know that.  The work here in Moultrie is going great.  Except that we go stopped by an officer the other day.  Yea he got after us for not stopping on our bikes before we walked over the railroad tracks.  Yea, who has ever heard of that law?  Once he knew we where totally confused and frustrated, he started laughing at us.  (Turns out) he was a member from Thomasville, pulling our leg.  So then we had a nice chat about the work and he sent us on our way.

Hey, we had two baptisms this last week.  That was wonderful.  We are working with three other individuals who are close to baptism as well.  All their names are Xavier Rogers & Betty Horace (who were baptized), and Roderick Spence, Isabel Rodriguez, and Lazedica Mock who are on with a date.  It's been an exciting area.

Transfers were this last week.  My last companion, Elder Johansson, is now home, and my new companion from American Fork, is Elder Ballard.  (Mom his family actually lives half a block South of the Timpanogos temple.)  He is a great companion and is willing to work hard.  We should see a lot of progress in this area working together.

It sounds like you both are working lots, I hope Mom will be alright working full time.  I know that our family is being watched over though.  There are so many blessings that come from serving a mission.

How are Grandma & Grandpa doing?  Same with Grandma Dawn?  I am sure that by the time I get home it will be them and the grand children that will have changed the most.

Well we are always in a hurry.  But I am glad I got to stop and write, even if it was short.

            Love your son,

            Elder Spencer Robinson.
