Moultrie Georgia

Hey Family

So today is kinda a weird day. Prepration Day but we have been gone from the apartment on a car exchange and have not made it back yet to check the mail...
Anyway yall should know that I am doing great and that I have some pictures for you! yup so hear it goes.

Pictures:

#1 Me...so you can all see that am healthy and doing well.
#2 My Bed...I found that blanket in the closet. I think its going to follow me around the mission.
#3 Map of Moultrie. Sorry there hasn't been much really to take pictures of actually in the town.
#4 My Desk. Him and I have spent some long hours in deep thought together. Sad thing is he doesn't say much but is a great support.
#5 My Companion! Ladies He's Coming Home! Yup he goes home this week, After we baptise a few wonderfull people tomorrow!  All send more pictures from the baptisum next week.
#6 My last companion and I. Elder Johnson is still in Dublin Georgia(my last area) and I found out was able to baptise a individual that he and I had started teaching. Infact we taught this man everything he simply had to give up smoking. And well he did and was baptised yesterday!

It has been wonderful serving with Elder Johansen. Many of you will never know of how great an influence he has played at the beginning of my mission. His determination and desire to serve the lord could be compared to that of the pioneers.  The nice thing is that i will be able to see him after my mission.(he is from spring city) I will get my new companion Wendsday and we will continue to go to work here in Moultrie.

Mom- Have fun going back to full time. Why are the class seizes so much bigger? Did they cut more Teachers?

Dad- We where walking down the street and there where two drunk men yelling at each other on the side of the road. One of them turned and saw us and yelled at the other "Do you know what You Need? You need to talk to these two gentlemen coming down the road! They never talked to us but my companion and I got a good laugh out of it after we where out of sight.

Sorry everyone else I am out of time. I love you and good bye.

Hi

Hey Everyone

Christy, I loved the analogy if only all the members understood that... any way I was able to to a good bit of reading this week. All of "Our Heritage" I was having a little bit of a hard time with somethings until i read about Joseph Smith in Liberty Jail. At that point I decided I had better shape up, and it made all the difference. We got Six Investigators to sacrament meeting this Sunday, I am having our ward start a "Preach My Gospel" Class and we have three individuals coming close to baptism. Oh and our mission has exited the number of baptisms that we had all last year! Wow. Each one a Son or Daughter of God. Sorry family I don't miss you much any more because I am spending all my time finding my lost brothers and sisters here. Well...okay...yeah...I missed ya all a little this week but it just made me work harder.

Ha Ha! Guess What! I almost forgot to tell you all! I have been Out Hear For Three Months! Wow! Where did the summer go? I guess last summer was just really slow because I started it out with Pig-Flu. (I say that because I felt like a pig when i couldn't get off the couch for two weeks) But this summer has gone by so fast and... I gust don't know its crazy.

This email is going to be short again sorry.

It sounds like y'all are having a good time in Utah! My companion keeps talking about it. Did I mention he goes home in two weeks? He is exited and has served the Lord Valiantly out here in Georgia

Elder Robinson- Thanks for the advice. I will try it on one of my door approaches and let you know how it went. well to give it a fair shot I'll try it on a few.

Ann!- I am going to have to place my guess if you are going to wait. Its going to be a Boy! Write that down...

Amy- Trying to figure out how to write y'all. Do you have an address?

Christy- I dont think I have your address either?

Ann- And what is your new Address?

Mom and Dad- yours is still the same right? Just kidding... Thanks for all you do.

Uncle Bishop - I just still can't get over the fact that you are a bishop. I think that's great! I believe I told someone that I could see you getting called as one before I left. Tell the family Hi for me.

Everyone Else- Have i mentioned How much I miss the Temple. I actually was able to read one of our brochures about it this last week that we give to recent converts. It was a good reminder for me. I heard one of my friends made it there this last week and i got all excited. I can't wait to go back.

Well I love you all. Remember we are all on a mission. Lift where you stand where ever you are...and talk to everyone about the Gospel.

I'll have pictures for you all this next week.

Love your Southern Missionary

Hello

Dear Mom and Dad
Stake Conference Was Yesterday! Yay! We had Elder Hallstrom and Elder Gibbins! We never got two general authorities back home.
They Spoke about the love of the savior and the love we should all have for each other. It reminded me about a quote in Preach my Gosple "True Doctrin Undererstood changes behavior faster then the study of behavior will change behavior." - From a genral authoritiy
They also spoke on how we can and Must change. Thats what the gospel is is a change for the better. Elder Haallstrom said when he was a bishup he met a young man with some atitude problems. One day when he was in his office he said that he couldnt change and that was just the way he was. I agree with him when he said that statment goes against everything the gospel stands for. He also said our meetings (Church, Mutral, Sunday School, etx.) would become stronger as we all came with the desire to change and reconise thats what we are all working for, to follow the perfect example of our savior.

He spoke about his testiomony of our savior and his church as well testifying as a specal witness of him that he lives.

We are working with some wonderfull individuals in Moultrie and are reciving some wonderfull help from some individuals in this ward. But i have more hope for them. I am going to see if the bishup will start a preach my gospel class and some othertings to try and stimulate the work. Offten times i am finding members who dont share the gospel becaue they thing that they dont know where to start. Its true we have a lot of doctrine. Well I would say the restoration would be a great place to start talking to someone about. I Invite all yall who read this email to talk about the restoration to someone this week...or the book of mormon. In Utah it might be hard to find someone out of the church but simply talk to anyone. You tell them what your read in your studies and how that has helped you that day. As a missionarie I promise that as you do so regularly you will find it eazy to share that with someone out of the church when you meet them. (Or read preach my gospel its got a lot of good ideas to.)

well lets get down to the Specifics

Mom and Dad- Its great to hear all is going well. I haven't heard anything about my puppy; is he doing well? Also thanks for your support and emails. Oh and I cant print them off, almost for got to answer that.

Everyone!-Hey my Friend Caitlin Got her Mission Call! I know yall probly heard this from her allready but if you didnt She is going to California! Spanish Speeking!

Doctor Bishup Skousen- Hey how is that going? It probly couldn't be better!

Ann and Jeff- hey how is the new place or have yall really been there yet?

Elder Robinson- hey how do you do your door aproches?

Top 10 Reasions Elder Robinson loves Georgia

Hey Family

I wanted to give you all my 10 ten list for Georgia So far!

1. Our Mission is baptising like crazy! As of this morning we are at 592! Who We still have Three months left and the rest of this month to reach 1000 and we are well on our way to our mission goal. We are always thanking the lord for these miracles he is allowing us to be apart of.

2. I Love the people! it make me so sad some times to see people with so much potentual be so discouraged. I honestly believe that these people are not just lazy. The people don't live in poverty they live it a state of depression. The adversary has thrown filth and grime into there lives so much that they are just depressed. To those who hear this glad message of the gospel they question it because of all the lies and false doctrine they have heard before. But we are wining there hearts! They are finding God in their lives. One thing i push as a missionaries is teaching people how to pray and to pray often. One of the greatest blessing the gospel brings this people is the feelings of peace and joy even during hard times. Every day we lift peoples heads a little higer!

3. Everyone loves us to. Members and others are always woried about where we are going every day. Well I say to you don't worry about it. We are on the lords errand even if something happened and I died all see you all in heaven. But you see noting will happen. The people do love us. There dogs don't but if the people didnt love us they wouldn't call them of now would they? Actually most of the dogs are really friendly there just a few that have killed my reputation of them.

4. Ward Members! They are wonderful. Remember Every member a Missionary...That includes any one who is reading this. Member are the better way to missionary work. Brother Eddings are ward mission leader is a recent convert to the church of about three years. He and his wife where able to make it to the Temple to be sealed this last week which is wonderful. He is now a wonderful strength to the ward and a perfect example of how members can reach out to those they know. Think about who you all know...any one in need of the greatest thing on this earth?-The Restored Church Of our Savior Jesus Christ that holds the Priesthood power of God. Ah you just never know who will accept the gospel but you will never know if you don't try.

5. Ward Members! Haha! I know they are just to good not to mention twice! We have another fabulous ward member named Brother Travis King. Oh how i love Brother King. He calls us up asking how many nights a week he can take us to some of his non member friends houses. its great!

6. Ha! Squirrels! They are hilarious. If you all want to know why this is so funny to me ask my friend Collin Jenson. But know that they are every where and they remind me of some childhood games we had.

7. We bike everywhere. Its great. there has been a reputation going around from some of the missionaries that if you dont have lose pants when you start the mission you will need new pants before you go home. I am all good with my pants thought and i am going to have to say thank you to my mother again for he sending me out my bikeing slacks. We sweat so much that we have to wash them all the time and that would have killed my suit pants.

8. Oh you can buy Eggs out here by the FIVE DOSSEN! And For Really Cheep! Its Great!

9. My Companyon. I have loved all my companyons but i am sure that i will miss this one alot. Elder Johansen goes home at the end of this transfer. He should be atending Snow College this winter semester. Because of that and where he lives in Spring City i am sure we will see each other again.

10. Pastors and Jehova Witnesses. They are great. well we got  to love em the are good people and one day they will get it.

Well love you all i got to run.
