Everyone just sent me a lot of information.

Hi,

I was not able to email last week because the library was closed. It was not damaged by any storms or any thing they where just having a career day. Dad the storms have been coming throught we have not seen any tornatos but there hasent needed to be any trees have come down on cars trucks and homes all week. By word of mouth I heard the last storm killed 8 people from falling trees.

We have been working very hard in our area this last week. The district has been working hard as well. We had a baptisum this week end and have another baptisum next weekend. James Van Lucas was a brother we meet up by Moody Air Force Bace. He came down from New York to take care of his mother. He is 48 years old and has a heart of gold. We involved a prospective missionary to baptize him and then I confermed him a member of the church on Sunday. He said the feels at so much peace.

Mom I got the package that you a christy sent. I whent ahead and opeded it because i was afraid of any perishible food. Thankyou so much for the new shoes. I will were them at Zone Confrence tomarow. There I have been asked to sing in a special quartet. Should be alot of fun because i will be singing with an old chior member Elder Fletcher. It will be the missions last confrence.

Dad way to go on the calling! Sence out mission has placed an incressed empasis on reactivations we have been studying a few extra things. The talk "And Nothing Shall Ofend Them" by David A Bednar. You should be able to find it on mormon.org. then beyond that we have simply been seeking more of the spirit. That comes through prayer for the individuas you are working with and becoming Doctronaly Grounded. I would say read the Lessons and then Chapter 10 in preach my gospel(how to begin teaching) use all of the points when you go and speek with someone the first time so that you can get a good feel of how they feel about the gospel. Study dilligence and patence in preach my gospel Chapter 6. Remember the only time they are completly lost is when they or you have given up. Share some personal experiances with them about mountain resque. Devote time to them each week. Thats all the advice I have. Love you and enjoy the calling.

Sorry I type slow. I have to run. but I love you all and enjoy all the encorgment and help you give.

Enjoy the pictures.

4-11-11 Spencer's letter

Does time ever slow down?  Within two months several things will be happening:
1.  Jeremiah will be home.  He's is going to be mad at me but I only have one call on Mother's Day.
2.  I will have been out over a year on my mission.
3.  My mission will almost be done in South Georgia and I still have no idea where I am going to finish.
4.  I will no longer be a teenager.
5.  Between now and then, I don't know how many people I will have to tell that the world is not ending in 2012.

Any way some big things are happening to say the least.  We are holding a baptism later this week for Van Lucas, a black man just younger than you Dad.  He like, all of us, has faced some hard times but Ban has chosen to do good in many instances.  Van was once married but later divorced.  I don't know and I haven't wanted to ask about it.  He had one son, though he committed suicide when he was 18.  Van stuck through it all.  Now he has moved down from New York to take care of his mother.  He's back in school and dating a girl ion Florida.  He fixes bikes for children and has a heart of gold.  Actually when I made a comment about a nice tool he had, he insisted that I have it.  He would not let me go until I took it.  It was a Gerber tool just like Dad's.  He takes literally no thought for himself and loves the gospel.

You know how I told you I bought some bike tools to do my own repairs.  They are wonderful.  Missionaries have already asked me about them.  Bike repairs are a huge cost for Elders here with all the biking we do.  The last thing an Elder wants is to spend half the cost on labor.  I decided I like collecting tools and I will have to pay you back for them later.  But know, I will make them worth it.

Have I told you what my mind has been on lately?  It's been on how much freedom we have.  We live in a free country.  We have agency from God and we choose to live the gospel which makes us free.  John 8:31-36 Now we fight to free our brothers and sisters from bondage.  Ephesians 6:12 Thus we are all committed until the conflict is over.

Love you son,

What Did you Do in the back yard with out me?

Family

Mom, the Back yard looks Great! I just feel so bad that I was not there to help. I miss getting really dirty. All I get out here is really sweaty. Tell the lads they better have some projects to do with me when I get home.

Dad, I loved confrence weekend. Loved it. I missed you though. But dont wory sence I couldnt be with you at confrence my companyion and I brought 7 people to church and had two watch it at home. They say 90% of those who watch confrence get baptized. Its going to be a good month. My District brought 26, the zone 56 and the mission 205. There was so much to be gratefull for this last week end. Our joy was full because of the faith of those individuals who chose to come and recieve of those messeges.
Question: How many Robinson's have served missions in your family?

Elder Robinson, Drive carefully.

Family,

This last week has been wonderfull. I got a new companion and am still serving as a district leader. In mission age I am one of the older missionaries in the mission. No buano. My new companion is Elder Martin from the Logan area. We are curantaly teaching a Spanish family, they speak english really well though. The father just cant read english. The Reis family came to one session of  confrence and loved it. Brother Reis said to plan on them every sunday. So we will. They want to be baptized to. I love being a missionary.

Other then that we just do the work alot...we have so many people we are working with Elder Martin and I just dont know what to do. We are always on the move and will probly hit over 30 miles on our bikes each day this week. Its like going to Plesent Grove to teach some lessons and then coming back every day. We are in really good shape.

love you lots,

--
