"...The Time is far Spent there is Little Remaining..."

Hey Family

Can i simply say this...There is nothing like Missionary work. Okay my email could be over but all fill you all in on a few more details.

We had President interviews this last week. Ah I love President Bowman. He will not alow anything to take our focous off of what we should be doing... Baptizing! Retaining! and building the Kindom of God! Its great. It changes lives. It has changed my own.

So my companyon and i have been enjoying the rain the last few day's. I had some pictures i wanted to send you all but I forgot my camra. Oh well... next week right? President Bowman has us thinking about the work so much we forget about everything else. I simply want to say that time is passing so fast. If we didnt have the spirit to quicken our minds I dont know if we would get anything done.

My companyon and I have been so blessed in this area. The people in Moultrie are so reseptive to the gosple. But its not enough. Every day I think of how I as a missionary and as a companyonship could do better. My companyion and I push ourselves to do more because we must. I would encorage you where ever you are at to do the same. None of us can comprehend the work that the Lord requires of us. But dont let that discorage you because He will help. He wants us to better. Let us all lift where we stand.

Hey so Dad it's your Birthday on Saturday! And You are going to be 50! I can always remember how old you are because your 30 1/2 years older then me. Then Mom is two years yonger then you. Well I will sure miss you Saturday. Love you lots.

Then I know of Someone else who has a Birthday tomarow! They should know I wish them a Happy Birthday! That Someone will also have to know that I read there letter this moring and that there responce will have to be a little belated untill I can write them again.
Something that our mission has been doing is trying to reconise everyones efforts in our behalf. So I wanted to take this oportuninty to Say Thank You. Everyone of you. Family and Friends, where it not for your suport in any way shape or form we missionaries would have it alot harder. As it is now we can Lift and be Lifted. So Thank You.

Love you all,

Time - Where does it go? Does it even exist?

Hey Family & Friends

What ever happend to the consept of time? I thought time was on our side and it is...it just wish like Elder Robinson that it would stop every now and again.
the thing about time is that it wont stop. Nope. I talked to a WW2 Vetren the other day. You cant do that very often any more. He told us a little about his life and how he is now suffering from cancer. But he was at peace it seemed. He didnt let that hold him back from what he knew he needed to do. He in a sence knew how much time he had left and worked quickly and diligently to acomplish all that he had to do. Elder Ludwig, and his wife just whent home. He i a letter told us missionaries the samething. We only have so much time here on a mission and many of us don't comprehend  the work the lord requires of us. (Preach My Gospel Pg. 13 one of the quotes from the Presidents...) So we canot and should not fear the end, because it's not.

My week has gone by fast and so has the time i have had to email today. I enjoyed reading all of you emails though. Keep to the faith. There is always some way that we can inprove. Daily scripture study, jornals, service, prayer... you name it and then you find a way to do it :)

Love you all.

Letter from Spencer, received 09/14/2010 ...

DATE 6, August 2010

Dear Mom & Dad,

Hey I love you!  Wanted you to know that.  The work here in Moultrie is going great.  Except that we go stopped by an officer the other day.  Yea he got after us for not stopping on our bikes before we walked over the railroad tracks.  Yea, who has ever heard of that law?  Once he knew we where totally confused and frustrated, he started laughing at us.  (Turns out) he was a member from Thomasville, pulling our leg.  So then we had a nice chat about the work and he sent us on our way.

Hey, we had two baptisms this last week.  That was wonderful.  We are working with three other individuals who are close to baptism as well.  All their names are Xavier Rogers & Betty Horace (who were baptized), and Roderick Spence, Isabel Rodriguez, and Lazedica Mock who are on with a date.  It's been an exciting area.

Transfers were this last week.  My last companion, Elder Johansson, is now home, and my new companion from American Fork, is Elder Ballard.  (Mom his family actually lives half a block South of the Timpanogos temple.)  He is a great companion and is willing to work hard.  We should see a lot of progress in this area working together.

It sounds like you both are working lots, I hope Mom will be alright working full time.  I know that our family is being watched over though.  There are so many blessings that come from serving a mission.

How are Grandma & Grandpa doing?  Same with Grandma Dawn?  I am sure that by the time I get home it will be them and the grand children that will have changed the most.

Well we are always in a hurry.  But I am glad I got to stop and write, even if it was short.

            Love your son,

            Elder Spencer Robinson.

The Wonderful Sothern Georgia town of Moultrie

Hey Family

Mother I loved the Email you sent out with the quotes and messages from your Regional Conference. I really enjoyed reading it.

So first of there are(is) a individual(s) writing me and asking some questions that I would like to answer for all yall. One question was why I wrote in an email or letter what exactaly was it I learned from reading "Our Heritage" a few weeks ago. Well My companion was simply not feeling well for several days in a row and so we had to stay in the apartment. He sleped most of the time trying to get better. I was bound and determined that I was not going to sleep at all with that time and was going to try and study. I tell you what I learned that I could sit I an chair all day. For me it was almost painfull at times. I dont like to sit by myself that long. Sometimes it is nice but thats on a mountain or when I am working on someting with my hands. It was as a sat and read from "Our Heritage" That I learned/remembered many of the trials that the early saints whent through. It was quite humbling for me as I realised that my having to sit in a chair all day for a few days was nothing to complain about. I cant say how dedicated I was to my studies the whole time but I did learn lots as I took advantage of the time I did have to study.

So beyond that general question all answer the rest of the questions to there respective party in individual letters.

-Elder Robinson and Dad, we have been runing into so many spanish lately. What is something i could brifly learn to say in relation to giving them a pass along card or something? -Thanks

-Mom, There was a Sister who sent us home with some food. Okay it made me miss home really bad. It was Roast and Mash potatoes just like you make it on Sunday afternoons.

For those of you that dont know I love my mother and father. They are everything to me. I was thingking after this event and some other things that came up in the week how much they have helped me to be here on a mission over the years. Where it not for the persitance of my mother in helping me at a young age to read and write i doubt that i would have made it to college, or through high school even. Serving here where there are so many people who simply don't seem to care about education has really opened my eye's. Everything i have done I can trace back to them and the church.

I love you all,

:) Alma 37:33

Hey Family, Friends and everyone in between...

Hey So how come I Didn't get invited to go to Yellow Stone this year? Dose everyone just think that i am a little preoccupied or something? Well okay I guess your right.. I am a little. But Dad I loved your email you sent out about reading the Book of Mormon Daily because it's so true. We work with a lot of less active members and that is exactly what they say first is that they stoped reading. Faith is just another Mussel and needs regular exercise and proper nourishment.

So I have a new Companyon! Who! Elder Ballard! He is even from Utah! but not Salt Lake City. Nope I didnt get on of the twelve for a companyon but he is still Fantastic. Moultrie will know that it was the spirit that hit them by next week. Our motto is to come home on a strecher. There have been a few nights that have felt like that. Also we have so many baptisms lined up and more on the way its just great. Not to mention that we had two baptisms this last week! ah...I have never felt happier and yes i would say that is better then going to Yellow Stone. In the MTC our districts Motto was that we where not going to go and baptise buildings or mountains...first off they already where, Noah did it for us.

Mom and Dad: Did you get my letter with the vision of the south on it?

Mom: How is school going?

Grampa: did i get that right you are teaching at Snow College? If i did i so am taking you math class when I get home. Tell Don Saltmen Hi for me.

Dad: you see any bears or wolves there?

Mom: hey my companion's family lives just block south of the Timpanogus temple. He said that he could walk there and do baptisms for the dead in the morning.

Dad: I was so exited about your letter you sent that i figured out how i could get it printed off so i could take it and read it again.

Christy & Leif: My companion Loves Ultimate! we go and trough almost every morning we can. Its great but i need to find us a better frisbee he only has a 130 freestyle. It doesn't handle a good flick that well because its a little floppy.

Amy & Dan: I loved the pictures of the kids. Thanks.

Ann & Jeff: How is the new job...or is that classified?

Someone: Thanks for your letter. I thought it was great that your Dad would be so willing to help you out that night coming back from Manti. I love friendships especially this one lets keep it up.

Everyone: The Advisary is waging a terible war! Souls are at stake! Make preprations every day to withstand him. Read, Ponder and Pray that you may not fall to his atacks when they will come. Missionaries our the same as anyone else we have simply dedicated all of our time to the lord but we all can Lift and be Lifted. So lift where you stand. Recive strength from the scriptures and then warn your nabors. The church has three mission's Perfect the saints, Redeem the dead and Share the truth. Activly take part in all of them and the lord will help you. There is a way provided. 1 Nephi 3:7 I can thank my father for having me memorise this at a young age. Focous your thoughts and actions twards the Savior and all will be well.
